Event 1 – Max Deadlift (Kreuzheben-Weltmeisterschaft 2022)
Das erste Event der Giants Live World Open 2022 war das Kreuzheben mit Höchstgewicht, es diente aber auch als Plattform für die World Deadlift Championships (WDC) 2022. Im Rahmen des WDC versuchten Athleten, den Weltrekord durch Kreuzheben von 505 Kilogramm (1.113,3 Pfund) zu brechen, ihre Bemühungen wurden jedoch auch im ersten Event der Giants Live World Open 2022 gewertet.
Im Vorfeld des Wettbewerbs wurden sehr hohe Erwartungen an diese Veranstaltung geknüpft, doch nur Rauno Heinla erfüllte diese Erwartungen.Rauno brach den Masters-Kreuzheben-Weltrekordund führte den schwersten Kreuzheben durch. Mehrere Athleten zogen 1.000 Pfund, aber keiner brach auch nur annähernd zusammenHafthor Bjornssons Weltrekord.

Veranstaltung 2 – Farmer’s Carry & Loading Medley
Die zweite Disziplin bestand aus einem 150 Kilogramm schweren Farmer’s über 10 Meter. Anschließend forderte Giants Live die Teilnehmer auf, ein Lademedley bestehend aus drei weiteren Geräten durchzuführen.
Beim zweiten Event der Giants Live World Open 2022 vollzogen die Athleten einen kompletten Wechsel vom Heben schwerer Lasten zu möglichst schnellen Bewegungen. Pavlo Nakonechnyy schlug Mitchell Hooper um weniger als eine Sekunde, was die unglaubliche Rivalität zwischen ihnen auslöste.

Ereignis 3 – Stammheben
Das Log Lift-Event der Giants Live World Open 2022 basierte auf maximalen Wiederholungen mit einem 150 Kilogramm schweren Baumstamm. Darüber hinaus hatten die Teilnehmer 75 Sekunden Zeit, um so viele Wiederholungen wie möglich erfolgreich auszuführen.
Da er etwas leichter ist als die anderen, bevorzugte Mitchell Hooper das Log-Lift für Wiederholungen gegenüber dem Max-Log-Lift-Wettbewerb. Das dritte Event der Giants Live World Open 2022 war der klassische Frontgriff, das heißt, die Athleten mussten einen 36 Kilogramm schweren Hammer so lange wie möglich mit ausgestreckten Armen vor sich halten.
Mitchell Hooper zeigte eine beeindruckende Leistung und bewies, dass er sich bei Veranstaltungen, bei denen er Schmerzen ertragen muss, durchaus zu Hause fühlt.
